Anthropometrics/Ergonomics

 

This is another area that will be revisited after your final design to look at more specific data. The data and work needed depends completely on what you are designing. E.g. Designing a torch? You'll need to know the anthropometric data on grip size and think about whether or not you could include finger shaped indents on the handle.

Designing a table lamp? You'll need to look at the anthropometric data about eye level when seated to ensure that the lamp shade covers the direct light.

 

Begin by simply writing the definintion of each of them. Remember to keep these in mind when designing and to talk about them when annotating and come back and add to this page as you design and even while making.
