Design Development

 

The best ideas from the evaluation task will be developed into a final design. Development work must show how you have developed the product from an initial idea into a viable final design. You should do this for two of your ideas.

You can sometimes think that the design you have produced is the best design you can create, however it is important in the highest marking section to develop your idea further. To help you develop your design further it may help if you use a development tool like SCARE or SCAMPER.  These development tools will assist you in developing your design. It is important that during development, you only change one feature on your design at a time; this will show the 'journey' your product has taken during its development.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can use a range of techniques to develop your design, you can sketch, use CAD or Photoshop or use sketch modelling. The important thing is that you show your product evolving and developing.
