Materials, Processes and Finshes
Now that you are beginning to develop your idea you can begin to research materials, components and possible manufacturing methods that could be used. Provide key information on these aspects and explain how they could be used in your project.
This information can be gathered from a range of sources, using a mixture of books and the internet.
It is useful to think about the materials you may use, the processes needed to machine them into your final product and also the finishes you may want to apply to give your product the aesthetic that appeals to your target user. It is also here that you can research any joints or adhesives you may want to use.
